Media lecturer inspires students

Steven Mardy, senior lecturer at Leeds Beckett University visited Clarendon Sixth Form College to talk to creative media students about what the university has to offer.

Steven showed the students work that had been created by graduates at the university and talked about the experience of university life including the use of industry standard equipment.

The visit was organised by Steven Richardson and aimed at students who wouldn’t consider university, gave them a perspective of what a degree course is like as well as raising the aspirations of students.

Steven Richardson, careers advisor at Clarendon Sixth Form, said: “Steven very kindly visited us to talk to students. He delivered a great talk and I think he will have given students some really inspiring thoughts on why they should go to university. Some of the technology and equipment available at the film school is amazing and will develop their skills even more.”
